Afghanistan War

We had true International Cooperation including Iran with the rout of the Taliban.  NATO and other nations  followed up with us.  United States with drew troops  to fight Iraq War and countryside outside of Kaubal is run or influenced by War Lords / Taliban.  Afghanistan is the major World Supplier of Opium.

The effort in Afghanistan is not going well which is the reason we are re-inserting an additional 3000 Marines.

SENLIS - a British Think Tank is calling it a crisis and maintains it only can be saved by doubling the military forces. This is not received very well by NATO countries as there is a feeling that the United States involved in a illegal Iraq War should be contributing more. There is some concern that NATO will become non viable.

We have put over 10 Billion into Pakistan Aid to get Bin Laden  They have served up some underlings but not the man himself. Why would they do that and cut of the money supply which they are using to bolster their military forces.

Iraq War

Year long surge which has stretched out military forces has resulted in less insurgency, but no Iraq government action in terms of governing   the country. August 2007 General Jones Congressional  Report has recommending disbanding the police because of corruption. The Police report to the Ministry of Interior which is also known for corruption

Major issue is resolving Oil Production and distribution of the revenue. We want American Oil companies to take over oil production. Other countries including Dutch and China want into the action.  Security of the Oil Pipe lines from insurgent action is a major issue in terms of making this work.

Popular opinion is evolving to a Federated country ( Kurds, Sunnis and Shia  Biden plan) with a weak central government is the only solution. Real issue is the brain drain from the country along with 2 million living in adjacent country refugee camps.
